About the Event
The idea of this PDW is to learn about different perspectives from different communities and approaches; to build connections among them; and to inspire novel impactful (research) projects. To accomplish this goal, we have co-designed an interactive and engaging PDW with two parts: Part 1 will feature an interactive discussion panel with distinguished speakers representing the different communities. Each scholar will offer insights into their communities’ perspective and approach towards creating impact. We are very excited that the following scholars have agreed to discuss their perspective:
- Jerry Davis (University of Michigan; Responsible Research for Business and Management (RRBM) perspective)
- Prof. Dr. Ali Aslan Gümüsay (LMU Munich; Desirable Futures perspective)
- Elke Schuessler (Leuphana University of Lüneburg; OS4Future perspective)
- Garima Sharma (American University; Innovation North perspective)
- Jan vom Brocke (University of Münster; Design Science perspective)
Part 2 will adopt an engaging "Market-of-Makers" format. This energizing format aims to stimulate the creation of novel impactful (research) projects, to uncover shared interests, and to build connections among like-minded scholars.
DS:E Fellows Katharina Scheidgen, Simon Schmidt (both University of Göttingen) and Christoph Seckler (ESCP Business School) will join this format as Organizer and Market-of-Makers facilitator to guarantee a great and insightful discussion.
To sum up, this groundbreaking PDW is designed to inspire, innovate and unite for the future, and we'd love to see you there. Although we couldn't invite all of the great panelists from different communities with a similar mission - Creating Impactful Scholarship - we are excited to see so many of you on site for a great discussion.
We look forward to seeing you all in the Windy City this August!
