Where: Online via Google Meets (please register to receive invitation link)
In an increasingly complex world, the adaptable BAUSTEIN tool is intended to support (1) configuring design activities and providing impulses, (2) representing complex design research, and (3) enabling other stakeholders to interpret and implement design research.
In this session, we will go into detail on how to use the BAUSTEIN methodology.
Overall, the Baustein design tool consists of following main components:
- Cards that represent single design science activities
- Card modules that serve as configurations to show how the cards can be assembled
- A manual to guide designers in the use of Baustein.
- (Optional) Ready-made configuration to use
In this DS:E PDW Paper session Thorsten Schoormann and Frederik Möller will go deeper into their paper and explain each of the above-mentioned parts. Goal of this session is to better understand how the BAUSTEIN tool can be used as a guideline for a research project.
